Ok really, who doesn’t love syrup? What’s not to love? Other than the calories of course. And while syrup is great all year round, this Ginger Apple Syrup is especially good for fall. Whether with pumpkin French toast or roasted butternut squash, this recipe adds great flavor to the sweet and the savory.
So simple to make, just add the ingredients in a sauce pan and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer for about 15 minutes. Remove from the heat and stir in the butter.
- 2 cups apple cider
- ½ cup Light Corn Syrup
- ½ cup Dark Corn Syrup
- ¼ teaspoon ground cinnamon
- ¼ teaspoon ginger, minced
- 1 tbsp butter
- In a small saucepan combine cider, syrups, cinnamon, and ginger. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer over medium heat until cider thickens, about 15 minutes. Remove from heat and stir in butter.
