Party Polynesian Style
As the weather gets warmer, it is easy to image palm fronds swaying in the ocean breezes and cold drinks with fruit garnishes and little umbrellas in them. But did you know that May is Asian Pacific American Heritage Month? And did you know that King Kamehameha Day is celebrated in Hawaii on June 11 every year? Is it any wonder that spring brings with it the laid back attitudes and casual celebrations only a luau can bring. So stock up on those drink umbrellas, put on some self tanner, and lets have a party Polynesian style.
Set your table with the largest green leaves you can find and some great tropical serving pieces. The Polynesian Chicken Wings bring the island flavors in with big pineapple taste while the Baked Beans do double duty with pineapple and mandarin oranges. Polynesian style Coconut Shrimp and Coleslaw add exotic tastes and are washed down with Polynesian Cocktails.
Or, let your table wear these great tropical shirt plates,
flip flop plates,
and
coconut cups.
Some other fun tableware ideas include tiki tableware,
hibiscus tableware,
flipflop tableware,
tropical fish tableware,
sunset tableware.
