Just Desserts

With the holidays so heavily booked for most of us, time can be an endangered commodity. And yet it is a time of year we look forward to spending with friends and loved ones. One way to have time together without doing it between midnight and 5:00 AM, is to have an open house. By serving desserts at your open house, the party becomes much more simple to plan. The reason, a lot of desserts can be made early and frozen at different stages and then thawed and finished when needed. This gives you the best of both worlds; an elegant way of spending time with friends and loved ones with alot of the work prepared months or at least weeks in advance.

Instead of an open bar, set up a Coffee Bar complete with a multitude of flavorings. For those that don’t drink coffee, have a holiday themed drink prepared such as Cherry Eggnog. An assortment of different kinds of desserts will help ensure there is something for everyone. Our choices are Tiramisu Gingersnap Torte, Peppermint Candy Brownies, and Nutty Christmas Pie. An assortment of Holiday themed cookies are also crowd pleasers.

For invitations, send chocolate dipped spoons along with the party details tied to the spoon with a holiday ribbon. Remember to assure everyone that they are free to come and go as they like.
